Older Division Session 1, July 6- 18: CATS: Young Actors Edition
CATS: Young Actors Edition
CATS: Young Actors Edition is a one-hour adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's hit musical, specially tailored for young actors. CATS is set amongst a larger-than-life junkyard playground and is alive with purr-fect felines, including Rum Tum Tugger, Mr. Mistoffelees, Macavity, Jennyanydots, Old Deuteronomy, Skimbleshanks and Grizabella. The Jellicle Cats come out to play on one special night of the year—the night of the Jellicle Ball. One by one, they tell their stories for the amusement of Old Deuteronomy, their wise and benevolent leader!
PERFORMANCES: Friday, July 17 at 1PM + 7PM and Saturday, July 18 at 11AM, Shopland Hall
TUITION: $495
Older Division Session 2, July 20-August 1: Beetlejuice JR
Beetlejuice JR
The ghost-with-the-most comes to the stage in Beetlejuice JR., the frightfully funny musical based on the beloved motion picture turned Broadway phenomenon. Lydia Deetz is a strange and unusual teenager, still grieving the loss of her mother and obsessed with the whole “being dead thing.” Lucky for Lydia, she and her father move to a new house haunted by a recently deceased couple and Beetlejuice, a delightful demon with a real zest for life. When Lydia calls on Beetlejuice to scare away anyone with a pulse, this double-crossing specter shows his true stripes, unleashing a (Nether)world of pandemonium.
PERFORMANCES: Friday, July 31st at 1PM + 7PM and Saturday, August 1 at 11AM, Main Stage
TUITION: $495
Older Division Session 3, August 3- 15: Once Upon a Mattress: Youth Edition
Once Upon a Mattress: Youth Edition
Many moons ago in a far-off place, Queen Aggravain decreed no couples could marry until her son, Prince Dauntless, found a bride. Princesses came from far and wide to win the hand of the prince, but none could pass the impossible tests given to them by the Queen. That is, until the “shy” swamp princess, Winnifred the Woebegone, showed up. Would she be able to pass the Sensitivity Test, marry her prince and help Lady Larken and Sir Harry to the altar? Our Middle and Older Division performers will have a great time teaming up to present this rollicking spin on the classic tale, The Princess and the Pea!
PERFORMANCES: Friday, August 14 at 1PM + 7PM and Saturday, August 15 at 11AM, Main Stage
TUITION: $495
